Book launch

After talking myself out of having a book launch, I eventually parked my anxious side and threw caution to the wind. So how did it go? Well it was an incredibly memorable event, with family, friends and neighbours there @Scéallorrha. For me, it was personal, intimate and a pleasure to spend an evening with people I grew up with, who knew and respected my parents all their lives.

The launch of a debut book is a rite of passage for sure. Why? Because you are entering into new territory. It is a transition. The uncertainty you feel is natural as you anticipate this new ground you have to navigate. Doing that with so many beautiful people around you feels supportive and encouraging. No one wants to see you stumble, and if they do, well, that is their story, not yours. So when you feel fear, just put one foot in front of the other.

Having the opportunity to read from my book and share a bit of context was very fulfilling. That process of reading aloud is as healing and inspiring as the writing. It also allows others to bear witness. An experience, not to be missed.

Once you make that step from writer to author, private person to more public, there is no getting back in the box. However, there is always time for present-moment living and getting into a space where you are most connected to your essential self.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.
